The Museum holds an extensive collection of artefacts from rural Fermanagh, with many items donated by Mr Pat Cassidy of Lisnaskea and by the family of Viola, Dowager Duchess of Westminster.
Agriculture is well represented with a wide range of hand tools, specialised equipment and horse-drawn farm machinery. Unusual items include a hen’s nest made of straw and a cleverly designed pannier known as a ‘pardog’. Two pardogs, filled with manure were strapped to a donkey. Each had a hinged bottom which enabled the manure to be easily emptied and spread.
Domestic life is also well represented with many examples of household utensils and some country furniture.
