If you are a teacher looking for an interesting and educational experience for your class, why not arrange a visit to our museum?
Fermanagh County Museum delivers an award winning level of education programmes to Primary School children from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Our aim is to deliver schools programmes which are both educational and fun. Here are some of the comments we have received:
Thank you Ethel for showing me around your Viking house. I liked the things you showed us. You showed us a sword, shield, helmet, clothes, fire, cutlery and weaving. You showed us how to weave on the big loom. I liked it when you told us about when a whale was stuck in the ice you all ran down and took a big chunk of meat and brought it back to your families. You told us if you wear a head scarf it means you are married.
I liked it upstairs when we had to dig for artefacts and identify what they were. The one that I worked out was the things that belong to a trader. All I want to say is thank you.
Yours sincerely,
Matthew
