| Description: |
A colourful selection of paintings from the Ulster Museum’s Fine Art collections, illustrating Ulster painting at its best, the exhibition includes works by firm favourites William Conor, James Humbert Craig, Paul Henry, Charles Lamb, John Luke and Colin Middleton. All the artists were trained in Belfast, although Paul Henry only spent a year in Belfast before moving to Paris. These painters provide an enticing insight into the depiction of landscape and, with Conor’s scenes of working class Belfast, the exhibition shows Ulster’s artists at the peak of their talent. |
