Marching in Orange Order Parades. |

| Description |
Interviewer: Have the Twelfth of July celebrations changed any over the years or are they basically just the same thing?
Wilson Elliot: It used to be only once in about 5 years was what they called a County Demonstration. There used to be Districts, maybe two Districts would meet together, maybe here, Derrygonnelly, Kesh, Tempo to list a few of them. Now it's more or less a full county in a town of Fermanagh. The Twelfth of August is only a Fermanagh celebration, held no place else only in Fermanagh, but they'll hold it the 11th the year because the 12th falls on a Sunday. It's Blackmen, not Orange, Blackmen. It's the Senior Order of the both Orders. The last Saturday is very new too, mostly in Fermanagh, it's only in the last 15 or 16 years we've started going as individuals. Some lodges go as lodges, but we here in Florencecourt don't, but our band will go now to Loughgall the year to lead some lodge there. It's a great day out, hard on our feet, but it's just out for to see who's the best, what's the best they can produce in an area, and maybe say "Aw, so and so has gone down in the world." Well, next year them boys will try to do their best to be up again. The numbers are increasing, thankfully.
