| Title |
Americans in the Second World War. |
| |
| Description |
The Americans used the mountain there as a training base. The nearest Americans was Lisgoole. There was quite a few Air Force about on different hills here, for radio location posts. The Army was all based in and around Enniskillen, Ely Lodge, Lisgoole, Crom, Lisnaskea, round that side, nearly all the estates. This estate had no Army camps, but they had an Army training base here. The Yanks used to come out here and they used to have buckets of sugary candy you know. You'd always go up and do something for them.
