| Title |
Never marry a farmer. |
| |
| Description |
Interviewer: Looking back over your life, if you had the opportunity to change anything in your life, what would you pick to change?
Margaret Armstrong: Well, I wouldn’t pick a farmer, anyway. I wouldn’t have a farmer. Any job’s better than farming. Farming’s no good. There’s too much to do and nothing for it. Yes. And you’re tied down on a farm. You can’t walk away. You can’t leave, and you see you can’t! You can’t leave animals or things. You can’t go away and take a day or say I’ll go somewhere the morra. You can’t do that. You have to make provision before you go that they’ll be looked after when you’re not there. Y'see, this is the thing about a farm.
