The woman, she’d have a lot of hens and she’d gather all the eggs, say today, gather all the eggs and you washed them all and you fill them into a big bucket, this is what we used to do at home now. Anyway, you wash all these eggs and in those days the full of a big bucket of eggs would buy all you groceries for you. See everything was different prices. The groceries were all so much cheaper in those days and in some cases you might have change back with you. That’s the way the farming people lived a lot too d’you see they had their, they were living on their own income.
