Title What's a Museum?

Description I remember one time, I don’t know, me mother was fixing a skirt for herself one night and says I "Mammy, you’ve that skirt a long time." "Awh indeed", she says, "I could send it to the museum anytime." "Where's that?", says I, "or what does it do"? "A place," she says, "where oul old things are kept." Aye, and that was as far as that went. A day or two after, the Inspector come and he got the sixth, the fifth, the fourth and the third, all around him in a ring and I was in the third class and I was the very last in it and he asked them what a museum was, and not one of them indeed, not one of them could answer it until he come to me and I'd think to myself, "Will I say I don’t know or will I say what me mother said?" So he come anyway and he said, he looked, and I was the smallest of them, and he looked at me and he said "Do you know what a museum is?" And I says, "Sir, it’s a place where old oul dud things are kept." "The perfect answer", he says, "thank you very much for answering it."
