Mullahoran NS

Mullahoran National School, built in 1974, has a staff of five class teachers, two special needs teachers, two special needs assistants, a Rural Co-ordinator, secretary and caretaker.

The school has a calendar of planned events each year. Present enrolment is 147.

The school participates in a wide range of sporting and cultural activities - Cumann na mBunscol competitions, athletics, chess, quizzes etc.

Resources

Awards: The school received the County Award in Active Sports Week early in 2007. A green Flag for Environmental Awareness and Action was presented in 2006.

What you hope this project will help you and your school to accomplish?

We hope it will give pupils an increased awareness of crossborder communication, experience of another school and culture and participate in new activities. The research for the project should improve skills and broaden knowledge of related subject areas.
