Derrylin is a bustling Fermanagh village, with many community groups, including the local St. Aidan’s Crochet group. The group is full of imagination, inspiration and talent. They decided to put a smile on the faces of locals, pupils and to passing traffic by crocheting trees, pupils, animals and landscapes.
Their next project was a bit of “yarn bombing”, crocheting Derrylin, under the guidance of Mrs Mary Mooney. A mammoth task, they chose yarn and stitches to replicate the many distinctive buildings on the main street. The local knitting class and some neighbouring crocheters from “Beyont the Lough” lent a supporting hand.
As you wander along this magical Main Street prepare to be surprised and impressed with the final outcome by a small community group with big creativity!
Exhibition continues until 17 March 2026.
Admission is FREE.
