Young Journalists for the Day
As part of our exhibition, “The Impartial Reporter: Reporting 200 Years of History through the Archives”, we are celebrating two centuries of storytelling, history, and fearless journalism.
The Impartial Reporter’s Editor, Rodney Edwards, invited P7 pupils from across Fermanagh to become journalists for a day and submit their own newspaper article on any topic of their choice. Whether it’s a local event, a historical moment, a sporting achievement, or a creative take on the world today, young writers were asked to bring stories to life, just as The Impartial Reporter has done for generations.
Submitted articles are showcased here, giving pupils a chance to see their work published, complementing the exhibition programme of historic front pages and archive reports.
These articles showcased here are a reflection of the pupils’ own selection of topics, research material and report writing. The articles highlight what’s important and interesting to the next generation today.
Thank you to all those who took part!
